As a compassionate special educator, she envisioned a sanctuary where the spark within every differently-abled child could ignite into a flame of potential. With the unwavering support of a small group of parents and giant-hearted well-wishers, Shanthi’s dream took root, birthing Sri Vidhya’s Centre.

From its modest beginnings, where just eight students with special disabilities found solace and guidance, Sri Vidhya’s Centre has burgeoned into a nurturing haven for nearly 150 children from all walks of life. Each day, the premises echo with laughter, determination, and the resounding belief that every child, regardless of ability, deserves the chance to thrive.

Driven by our team’s unwavering conviction, the school is more than a mere institution; it’s a testament to the power of belief and the resilience of the human spirit. Here, children aren’t just taught; they’re empowered to navigate life with confidence and independence.

In 2018, a new chapter unfolded as the Centre unveiled its cutting-edge facility, meticulously crafted to meet the needs of children of diverse disabilities. Spanning 15,000 square feet, the new facility stands as a beacon of belief, offering a tailored educational environment designed to nurture the unique strengths of children, particularly those with autism.

What makes Sri Vidhya’s different is going beyond its focus on the differently able children and making it a truly inclusive school and offering services at no cost to many students from the neighboring slums, who would otherwise never have access to such facilities or expertise.
